nature as I dye simple pictures of landscapes and flowers; and my Age Glyphs celebrate women as I dye patterns and motifs from cultures where men and women were equal or today share a partnership way of living. I do this work in an unusual medium: anodized aluminum. I learned about the process from my friend, Cindy Lowy. This electrochemical process allows me to permanently die the metal with any color I choose. I have developed many techniques and it is a joy to see the colors mix and react with each other as I experiment with them.. e-mail Jamison Brumm |
